Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has vowed to sack any member of Hajj committee who fails to perform his duty during Hajj operations at the holy land.
At a farewell ceremony for intending pilgrims on Tuesday, Masari reminded them that their appointment into the committee was not to enrich themselves but to ensure successful conduct of the hajj operation.
“Your appointment is not an opportunity for any one of you to enrich himself, but was done to assist pilgrims for successful hajj.”
Masari said his administration had secured decent accommodation for intending pilgrims and provided all financial assistance to pilgrims board.
The governor called on intending pilgrims from the state to pray for peace and stability of the nation while at the holy land.
Masari appealed to them to abide by rules and regulations of Saudi authority.
Earlier, chairman hajj committee, Ambassador Garba Aminchi assured that the committee would work to provide needs of intending pilgrims.
“Our doors are open to listen to any complaints and work to provide needs for pilgrims.”
