Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, said his administration would soon come up with a four-year development plan.
Masari, who disclosed this while receiving members of the Nigeria Institute of Architects, Katsina State chapter, yesterday, said the four-year development plan will cover education, agriculture, health and water sectors.
He said the plan was necessary so as to lay a solid foundation for the development of the state and provide a direction for his administration.
He decried the sorry state of the education sector in the state, despite the fact that Katsina was a centre of educational excellence in the north.
He pledged that his administration will come up with measures to revive the sector by employing qualified teachers and creating a conducive atmosphere for learning.
Masari assured the architects that government will involve them in the execution of quality projects.
He called on the institute to complement the efforts of his administration by indentifying quacks working in government ministries and parastatals.
Earlier, the Vice Chairman of the institute, Muntari Sani, commended the state government for appointing members of the institute into various committees.
Sani said the institute will organise a one-day seminar with the theme “sanitation and the build of environment” later this week.
He said during the seminar, indigenous architects would be honoured.
