Zamfara State governor, Abdulaziz Yari has sworn-in 18 commissioners, whom he said would help his government meet the yearnings and aspiration of the entire people of the state for the next four years.
Speaking shortly after swearing-in of the new commissioners at Government House Gusau on Wednesday, Governor Yari called on them to deploy extraordinary diligence and initiative in all matters that will come before their respective offices especially at this time of change championed by All Progressives Congress APC government in the country.
“The public expectations in our state are to have a more responsive government that will be up and doing in meeting their demand for effective and efficient service delivery,” Governor Yari said.
The appointees include, Hajia Bilkisu Ibrahim, ministry for Women Affairs, Hajia Fatima Umar Shinkafi, Commerce and Industries, Muktar Lugga, Education, Idris Keta Environment, Suleman Adamu Gummi, Health, Muttaka Rini, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sanda Muhammad Danjari water resources, Ahmad Sharu, Land and Survey, Muazu Nalado, Works and Transport, Muhammad Birnin-Magaji, Budget and Economic Planning.
Others are, Muktar Shehu Idris, Finance, Barr Bello Umar, Justice, Muhammad Gurbin Bore, Youth and Sports, Umar Jibo, Information, Lawal M. Liman, Rural and Community Development, Abdullahi Maharazu, Religious Affairs, Ahmad Abubakar, Science and Technical Education and Jibrin Jangebe, Agriculture.
The governor then appealed to the new commissioners to remain God fearing citizens and abide by guiding principles governing his administration in order to move the state forward.
