In his effort to ensure smooth transition from the PDP led government in the state to the APC administration in less than the 23 days, Governor Isa Yuguda has approved the immediate sacking of the 33 directors general as well as the dissolution of 20 boards of different parastatals in the state.
This was made know in a statement issued by the permanent secretary, political affairs Government House on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
Nigerian Pilot gathered that the parastatals, which their boards were affected by the dissolution were Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board; Christian Welfare Pilgrims Board; Sharia Consultative Council; Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC); Bauchi State Television (BATV); Bauchi State Development Board and Bauchi State Water Board.
Others affected are Bauchi State Library Board; Bauchi State Agriculture Supply Company (BASAC); Bauchi State Tourism Board; Bauchi State environmental Protection Board (BASEPA); Bauchi State Hotels Board; Yankari Transport Corporation; Bauchi State Sports Council and Poverty Alleviation Agency.
The statement also stated that the boards of Bauchi Fertilizer Company; Bauchi Meat Factory; Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi; College of Education, Azare and A D Rufa’i College of Legal Islamic Studies, Misau were similarly dissolved with immediate effect.
It could be recalled that Governor Yuguda had last week sacked all his political aides with the exception of those working directly under the office of the governor and his deputy.
