Forum of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria, a coalition of several civil society groups/NGOs, has lauded Otunba Christy Ademodi, the former general manager (Operations) at the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN for her contributions towards the growth and sustenance of the aviation sector.
The group’s national organising secretary, Gbenga Ajayi said in a statement in Abuja yesterday that to Otunba Ademodi’s credit was her “sterling role and distinct skills that have helped to transform FAAN to a more efficient and effective agency.”
The civil society group therefore appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to find a role for the former FAAN top official “because of her strong personality and incorruptible character.
“The present administration will do well to tap from the experience of Otunba Ademodi whose hard work helped reform the aviation industry. We salute her tremendous contributions in the development of our nation as regards the aviation industry. Although she is no longer in public service, we believe President Buhari can still utilize her wealth of experience.”
The Forum of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria, with its national secretariat in Abuja, according to the statement, “is committed to strengthening democratic principles as well as promoting good governance in the country.”
