A GROUP popularly known as Gusau Progressive Union has given Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State a pass mark for incorporating indigenous contractors to handle the ongoing Gusau urbanization work through roads construction across many areas within the state capital. The group’s commendation was contained in a press statement, which was signed by the secretary of theunion, Alhaji Lawal Ahmad Gusau and made available to Nigerian Pilot in Gusau the state capital.

The group said that the indigenous contractors like HABIB Nig LTD have for many years been doing good jobs since the creation of Zamfara State in 1996.

“Indeed, by awarding contracts to such indigenous contractors, it will not only encourage them for efficiency, but will also help in reducing the level of unemployment in the state as well as boosting the state’s internally generating revenue potential,” the group said.
