Buhari/Osinbajo Initiative for Demonstrating Change in Nigeria has promised to integrate youths in meaningful activities for the betterment of the nation.
It has therefore called on youths actively engaged in gainful ventures to drive the change the nation is clamouring for.
The National Coordinator of the Initiative, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, disclosed this to journalists yesterday in Abuja.
“There is no meaningful progress to be recorded in a country where the cluster of workforce (youths) are not carried along in the affairs of the government especially in its decision making. Youths should be given a sense of belonging to actively involve and contribute their own quota to the growth and development of any economy,” said Ogah
He also stressed the need for relevant agencies to evolve policies and programmes that would provide youths the opportunities to contribute to nation building.
The coordinator, however, called for provision of loans and strengthening of financial institutions to make credit facilities available to interested entrepreneurs which, he said will go a long way in achieving change agenda of the present administration and reduce insecurity in the country.
Ogah expressed the hope that the Federal Government would successfully tackle the social and economic challenges facing the country.
