Association of Industrial
Security and Safety operators
of Nigeria has appealed to the
federal government to provide
the Police with relevant
modern equipment to fight
crime as applicable in modern
day policing and international
best practices.
The group, led by its
president, Dr Ona Ekhomu
also pledged to partner the
Police in the fight against crime
and criminalities in the society.
The group made the pledge
in Abuja yesterday during a
courtesy visit on IGP Solomon
Arase in his office.
The association expressed
confidence in the leadership
of the Force, while charging
members of the public to be alive
to their civic responsibilities of
being law abiding, assist police
in crime control and providing
information about criminals to
the Police.
IGP Arase in his response
appreciated their pledge to
collaborate with the Police,
even as he re-emphasized
his commitment to make the
welfare of his men paramount
and also his thrust on a
paradigm shift on strategic
plan that will make Nigeria
Police operate in line with
international standard.
The Police chief further
promised a robust symbiotic
relationship with the
Association.
