All Progressives Congress-Patriotic Members Forum, APC-PMF and South East Muslim Youth Congress, SEMYOC, have congratulated the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, urging him to improve the lives of Nigerian masses through the provision of security, employment and power.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of APCPMF, Engr. Ibrahim Baba Bashar, the group while congratulating him also implored him to ensure that his government satisfies the social and economic aspirations of Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.
“We in the APC Patriotic Members Forum wish to congratulate the President-elect, Gen Muhammadu Buhari on his hard-earned victory at the presidential polls on Saturday, March 28 and also use this medium to call on him to put in place necessary measures to change the fortunes of Nigerian masses.
“Nigerians urgently need a pragmatic leadership that will pull it out of the doldrums of insecurity, unemployment, power failure, importation of oil products and above all corruption. This, the forum is sure the president-elect has 100 percent capability to solve,” the group said.
On their own part, SEMYOC, in a statement jointly signed by its National President and National Secretary, Muhammad Ajah and Abdul-Rahman Urama, said the election which produced Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as a President-elect, no doubt, represent the mind and voice of the majority of Nigerians.
They also commended the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’adu Abubakar III, Rev. Onayikan and Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar for the roles they played in ensuring peace during the election.
The group also prayed God to grant Buhari the wisdom to lead the country and to carry all Nigerians along, irrespective of religion, tribe and political party.
“We pray God Almighty to grant General Muhammadu Buhari, the wisdom to lead Nigeria to the promise land; the land of unity, peace and uncommon development, may God Almighty give him the wisdom to carry all Nigerians along irrespective of religion, tribe and political affiliations,” they said.
