Barely two weeks that a High Court judge, Justice Samuel Obayomi, was kidnapped in Kogi State, has the state Commissioner of Land and Survey, Stephen Mayaki, was abducted by yet to be identified gunmen.
It was learnt that the commissioner was kidnapped at a gun point on Sunday morning in his farm at Osara community, in Adavi Local Government Area of the state.
A reliable source hinted that the gunmen, numbering about five in a Prado jeep, traced the commissioner to his farm where he went to see an on-going work by labourers, kidnapped and took him away to unknown destination at gunpoint.
The motive of kidnappers was yet to be ascertained as they are yet to contact the family members.
Meanwhile, the state PoiewPublic Relations Officer, Collins Adebayo confirmed the kidnapping of the commissioner.
He said the command had been informed of the development but could not give detail, as they were in a meeting on the issue, promising to get back to the media after getting the detail.
