The federal government under Peoples Democratic Party, PDP‎, handed over to the All Progressives Congress AP- led federal government the largest economy in Africa.

He regretted that the people of Nigeria had been short changed by the APC-led Federal Government criticizing the security situation in the contry.
Senator Ekweremadu noted that under the PDP government, it chased the Boko Haram insurgency to the Sambisa forest, but today Boko Haram is all over Nigeria.
“When we were in power, dollar exchange rate was N135.00 but today it is N350.00 per dollar. There were petroleum products in our regime, but today it does not texist anymore..
“We shall work hard to win power come 2019 because all who voted have expressed their regrets, and now apologize to Nigeria for the error”, he said.
In his speech, the former Senate President. Senate David Mark, observed that lack of fuel and lack of food is ravaging the country, saying the party was more resolved than ever to change the change, which has now become its new slogan.
Also, the chairman of Board of Trustees of the party, Senator Jubrin Walid said they were performing their responsibilities by conducting the convention.
“The National convention of the party is legal and supercedes all other rules and laws. It has the power to dissolve laws and enact new ones”.
