Resident pastor, the Living Faith Church, Bwari, Pastor Isaac Abioye on Sunday advised Christians to always put their faith in God in times of need.
Abioye gave the advice in a sermon he delivered in Bwari to mark the Special Covenant Day of Business and Career Breakthrough.
He spoke on the topic, ‘Receiving the Importation of the spirit of faith.’
He said that divine help could only be received through faith.
“No-one was created by God to suffer in life; he made everyone to have talents to enable them to be creative and self-reliant.
“To receive anything from God, it must come by faith; therefore, you must always believe and obey Him to get divine help when in need.”
He also urged the congregation to always recognise the hand work of God in the life of others and learn from them and believe them.
He said that doing so would help them to succeed.
According to him, one thing that can guarantee help from God is belief.
“Nothing authenticates the answers to your need than the faith you carry,” he said.
He, therefore, enjoined the congregation to engage more time in going for those things that would please God so that they could attract His Grace.
He urged them to remain steadfast and not to be deterred by the difficult situations in which they found themselves but to continue to pray to God for intervention.
Highpoint of the service saw the distribution of handkerchiefs (mantle) to the worshippers, rendition by the church choir, and prayers for new members. NAN
