Minority Whip of the House of the Representatives, and APC Edo South senatorial candidate in the rescheduled National Assembly polls for Orhionmwon local government council Hon. Samson Osagie has lost his father.
The deceased, late Pa Imariegbe Samson died yesterday afternoon at the emergency unit of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Ugbowo, near Benin City, after a brief illness.
Aged 77, Imariegbe family sources said reportedly gave up the ghost around 2:30pm, on Friday afternoon, at the UBTH emergency unit.
A retired soldier, he was rushed to UBTH on Thursday and died 24 hours after failed response to medication.
A popular community leader from Urhokuosa in Uhunmwonde local government of Edo South, whose son Samson, has spent 16 years as a state and federal legislator.
