A MEMBER of the seventh
House of Representatives, Hon
Opeyemi Bamidele, has refuted
the allegation made by the
Assistant to Governor
Ayodele Fayose on Public
Communications, Mr Lere
Olayinka that he purchased his
victory during the 2011 general
elections to be a member of the
National Assembly.
Olayinka, in an interview with
one of the national dailies on
alleged that Bamidele offered
Aluko a sum of $100,000 to
concede victory to the then
Action Congress of Nigeria,
ACN, in the poll.
While Bamidele was the
candidate of the defunct
ACN in Ekiti Central Federal
Constituency 1, comprising
Ado/Irepodun/Ifelodun Local
governments, Aluko was the
candidate of the PDP.
Fayose and Aluko had been
embroiled in the 2014 Ekiti
governorship crisis in the last
two weeks over allegation raised
