Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has described the claim by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state that he was still a member of the party, as unreasonable and illogical since he resigned his membership of the party on December 9, 2014 after which he handed over his letter of resignation to his ward chairman.
Ortom, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and ICT, Tahav Agerzua, made available to Nigerian Pilot Saturday said the above claim has since been dismissed by the Federal High Court in Makurdi and wondered why the PDP is laying claim to it.
The governor, who is currently a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC said the move by the state PDP, Dr Emmanuel Agbo, who he said addressed correspondents of some national dailies yesterday alluding his membership of the party indicated clearly that he had not recovered from the trauma of defeat in last April’s polls.
