Member representing Langtang North / Langtang South Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the National Assembly, Beni Lar, has said that she would forever remain in Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
She also said that the recent dissolution of local government council chairmen by Plateau State government at this time negate the tenet of democracy and rule of law.
There have been mixed reactions, following the dissolution of council chairmen by the State governor, Simon Lalong, despite a court injunction restraining the Plateau State government from dissolving them.
Lar, who was elected to the National Assembly under the platform of PDP for the third time by her constituency, in her reaction in a statement, said this action stand
condemned by all advocates of democracy in the country.
According to her, she will remain in PDP, the party co- founded by her late father, Chief Solomon Daushep Lar, who became the pioneer National Chairman of the party.
The federal law maker noted that she would continue to build on the legacy of her late father by ensuring that the party takes its rightful place once again in the country.
She added that, during the last election she delivered all the wards in her constituency to the PDP, stressing that this development had clearly shown her strong commitment and passion for the party.
