Manchester United are
negotiating a new contract
with Zlatan Ibrahimovic,
according to journalist
Gianluca Di Marzio.
A serious knee injury
prematurely ended his
first campaign in English
football and, as a result,
the Red Devils opted
against naming him in their
squad for the forthcoming
Hopes he would stay
appeared to be dashed when
Manchester United spent
£75m to bring in Romelu
Lukaku from Everton.
But, despite the Belgium
international enduring a
good start to life at his new
club, Ibrahimovic still looks
set to return.
And journalist Di Marzio
says the Red Devils are now
in negotiations with the
35-year-old over a shortterm
It is said there has been
contact between Jose
Mourinho and the forward
as Ibrahimovic steps up his
bid to regain fitness.
