Watford striker Odion Ighalo has insisted that the Super Eagles are not getting carried away by their wins against Mali and Luxembourg late last month and wants the team to play more friendlies for them to gel and be a stronger unit.
Having defeated Mali on May 27, goals from Ideye, Iheanacho and Ighalo got the job done for the Super Eagles in a routine 3-1 win over Luxembourg on Tuesday night.
“It was a good game against Luxembourg but we are not carried away with the two victories because we are still building and lot of chances for improvement, ” Odion Ighalo told allnigeriasoccer.com before his departure to London on Wednesday morning.
“We have a young and hardworking squad.
“If we can keep this team and play more friendlies or play more together I think we have a chance in future.”
Ighalo’s goal in stoppage time against Luxembourg was his third for the national team in 11 appearances.
