Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase, has deployed 9 newly promoted Commissioners of Police, CPs in Lagos, River, Ogun states and other police formations.
This is in line with the IGP’s determination to inject fresh ideas in the security architecture of the affected states and Force Headquarters formations.
In a press statement issued by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Abayomi Shogunle, CP Ajani Fatai Owoseni, is now Lagos police boss, CP Chris Ezike (Rivers) while CP Abdulmajid Ali takes over Ogun command.
Others are Dan Bature as CP Intelligence FCIID, FHQ, Abuja; Valentine Ntomchukwu is CP Administration (Department of Logistics and Supply), FHQ; Hyelasinda Kimo Musa is CP Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, FCIID FHQ; Kayode Aderanti is CP Administration (Department of Operations) FHQ; E. J. Ibine is in charge of Ports Authority Eastern Command, while Ogbusua Aja Oleh is CP Provost, FHQ, Abuja.
Shogunle said it is expected that the new postings will reverse the crime wave in the affected states and strengthening administration in the affected strategic Force Headquarters formations.
