Kogi state governor, Capt. Idris Wada has vowed to uncover those behind the bombing of TAO FM Radio station in Kuroko, Adavi LGA of the state, saying, there is no hiding place for them.
Capt Wada disclosed this when he paid a visit to the station founded by Dr. Tom Adaba, a renowned broadcaster and former Director General, DG, of National Broadcasting Commission, NBC.
The Governor hinted further that the Radio station which has become the voice of Ebira people would be given the necessary support and encouragement to resume operation soonest.
Captain Wada who was represented at the visit by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, described the action of the hooligans to bomb the FM radio station as callous and senseless, stressing that the radio station was so dear to the people of Ebiraland because of its educative programmes .
The governor assured the station owners of his support, while sympathising with the management and staff of the media house for the loss of lives and properties in the attack.
The Governor prayed God to grant the family of the four dead persons the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, adding that government is concerned and committed to arrest insecurity issues across the state.
The Governor who was accompanied on the visit by the Commissioner for information, Hajia Zainab Okino, was received by Salamatu Ali, the Accountant of the FM Station, who said the destruction was a set back.
She disclosed that it happened at a time the station has become a household name to the people of Ebiraland; just as she praised the state government for the concern and support they have shown since the incident occurred.
