National Assembly member representing Bayelsa Central, Senator Emmanuel Paulker, yesterday said, he was not comfortable with the calibre of prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leaving the party for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Senator said, he still remained a committed member of the party, expressing fear especially with the crème of people that left the party in the state of recent, noting that it was the same scenario which played out at national level of the party last year.
He noted that, the act resulted in the defeat of the party at the centre, stating however that consultation was ongoing to lure defected members back to the party.
According to him, “As a politician, definitely I am not comfortable, especially as regard the crème of people that left my party, the PDP. I am not comfortable because if you are bitten by a snake, you will jump when you see a lizard cross your path.
“I am saying because of my knowledge of what happened to us (PDP) at the centre which began with the exit of some key members and it took us quite some time to get ourselves together.”
