The Lagos State House of Assembly on Wednesday announced the postponement of the inauguration of the 8th Assembly earlier scheduled for Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the postponement is contained in a statement signed by Miss Bose Lambo, Head of Information at the Assembly.
According to the statement, the inauguration will now take place on Monday, June 8.
It said that the shift was due to unforeseen circumstances.
“All inconveniences are highly regretted please,” the statement said.
NAN reports that the 7th Assembly held a valedictory session during its final plenary on Monday.
