The Jigawa State Elders forum has called on the incoming APC administration to ensure unity and avoid any act that will bring about sectionalism or nepotism among Jigawa indigenes.
The chairman of the forum, Professor Tabi’u Muhammad made the call at a meeting with the outgoing governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido in the Government House Dutse.
Professor Tabi’u said, with the eradication of emirate dichotomy in the state for the last eight years under the outgoing administration, Jigawa has moved harmoniously amongst its peers in the country.
According to him, with the absence of dichotomy and sectionalism, the state witnessed tremendous changes and developmental strides across the 27 local government areas.
The chairman of the forum further stated that the Jigawa state forum will continue to support the state Jigawa government in carrying out its programmes and urged the incoming government in the state to sustain the habit of one Jigawa state.
