As this year Ramadan period is running to an end, an Islamic Scholar in Osun State, Alh. Imam Azeem Adeniyi Adebowale, while preaching to numbers of Muslim brothers and sisters in Ede town on Saturday charged Nigerian Muslims to pray for the Country which currently faces security challenges.
Adebowale, who condemned in totality killing of innocent souls in the Northern part of the Country, expressed sadness over the frequent explosion of conflicts and violence, which poses threat to the country’s peace.
Adebowale, who is the Chief Imam of Wuraola Central Mosque in Ede town of the state, lamented that Nigerians had become captives of fear amid the terrorists actions while calling for further urgent action by incumbent administration in order to eliminate the roots of terrorism by attacking the ideology.
Adebowale, further urged Muslims to use the period of ongoing Ramadan to offer prayers to Allah for the peaceful co-existence of the country.
His words, “Country residents should join their Muslim brothers and sisters in prayers for stability of peace and prosperity of Nigeria as the fasting period is rounding off”.
The Chief Imam who also felicitates with Muslims across board for the completion of this year Ramadan Month warned them to desist from any act that may lead them into sin, saying by not returning to the former things that they used to do before the commencement of the fasting which is against the will of the “Almighty Allah”.
“Having involved fully in the fasting period, shun sin, love one another, be generous and be prayerful as all other things would be added to you without any further delay”, Adebowala added.
The Cleric however charged politicians to eschew violence and shun campaign of calumny all the times.
