TRADING on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, continued a positive run on Tuesday as the All Share Index gained 1.02 per cent or 306.67 points to close at 30,358.87 points compared with 1.83 per cent or 541.12 points gained on Monday to close at 30,052.20 points.
Similarly, all sectoral indices led by the banking index closed the day positive except the ASEM Index that closed flat.
UBA Capital Plc, led 37 equity gainers with a 9.72 per cent or 14 kobo gain to close at N1.58 followed by Zenith Bank Plc. with 8.84 per cent or N1.45 increase to close at N17.85 while ABC Transport Plc appreciated 7.27 per cent or 4 kobo to close at 59 kobo per share.
Vono Products Plc also added 6.60 per cent or 7 kobo to close at N1.13 while Ikeja Hotel Plc appreciated 5.28 per cent or 19 kobo to close at N3.79 per share.
On the other hand, Conoil Plc topped 17 equity losers with a 9.72 per cent or N2.92 loss to close at N27.13 per share, followed by Transcorp Hotels Plc which depreciated 9.67 per cent each or 76 kobo to close at N7.10 per share, while Caverton Plc decreased 4.94 per cent or 16 kobo to close at N3.08.
Diamond Bank Plc also declined 4.55 per cent or 17 kobo to close at N3.57 per share while Custodian and Alliance Plc lost 4.53 per cent or 19 kobo to close at N4.00 per share.
Investors on the floor of the exchanged today traded 226.65 million shares valued at N1.99 billion in 4,531 deals, increasing Market Capitalisation by N105.5 billion to close at N10.44 trillion compared with N186.1 billion to close at N10.3 trillion gained in the previous day.
