As the nominees for the Ministerial portfolio appears before the Senate today, Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani said he has no reasons to kick against the nominee from Kaduna, Amina Mohammed if she is morally upright and meets the constitutional requirements.
Shehu Sani stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after flagging of empowerment programme for about 3,400 women in Kaduna yesterday.
He said no ministerial nominee should be afraid of screening if they don’t have any skeleton in their cupboard.
According to him, “whoever is going to serve as a Minister must be above the board, must be a man or woman of character and morals. Must be one who is fit to represent Nigeria. To be current of change of the present administration.
“They have been screened by the Security agents, maybe by the Executive arm. It is now the parliamentary screening to hear from those who will be representing them at Ministerial level and ask questions that are relevant to the Nation.
“There is a need for meticulous training for who is going to be a minister.
“When you don’t have skeleton in your cupboard, you have nothing to fear before the senate.
“As long as Amina Mohammed meets all the necessary requirements, she will scale through the senate screening,” Shehu Sani said.
