Jigawa Assembly passes over 29b supplementary budget into law

Jigawa State House of Assembly has passed N29,324,000,000 2018 supplementary budget into law after adoption of a report by its standing committee on appropriation.

While presenting the report, the chairman committee on appropriation and member representing Dutse, Musa Sule Dutse said the committee discovered that the supplementary budget will cover fifty capital projects which will have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state.

He said some of the projects include upgrading of Kazaure, Hadejia and Birnin Kudu general hospitals as well as construction of additional classes, renovation of dilapidated structures and supply of furniture to schools.

Alhaji Musa Sule also said the supplementary budget will finance township road projects at Hadejia, Kaugama, Maigatari, Babura , Zandam Nagogo, Galambi as well as some feeder roads across the state.

It could be recalled that on 12th of September 2018 Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar sent a supplementary budget to the Assembly amounting over twenty six billion naira. (26bn).
