Barring any further change, Supreme Court FC of Abuja will confront Jigawa Golden Stars in one of Group A one category, day one matches of this year’s Nigeria National League, NNL season.
Following an official draw which held in Abuja earlier in the week, another experienced side in the country’s second tier Niger Tornadoes in Group A two parings will be away to perennial rivals Mighty Jets in Jos when 2014/2015 league season gets underway on May 2.
No fewer than 32 teams will take part in this season’s completion which would be prosecuted in an abridged structure following late commencement.
The teams have been divided into four groups.
In Group B one, perhaps the clash that would attract much attention remains titanic clash between relegated Crown FC and hard-fighting Abia Comet in Osogbo.
Talking about Group B two, another relegated side Nembe City and Akwa Starlet will tango in Yenogoa.
Accessing the fixtures, Supreme Court FC General Manager Tolulope Oguntimehin remarked “We have been preparing right from the onset because we realized the task at hand especially when we realized there might be abridge league.
“We have been in camp since January preparing the boys and we have gone to so many places and played series of friendly matches. We also went to Ijebu-ode to camp like two weeks just to get some players that will be able to take us to premier league level.
“Our dream and target is still to see the possibility of bringing premier league club to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and we hope at the end of the day we will be able to achieve that.
“Is going to be a tough fight especially when you look at perennial teams with good pedigree in our group but all is the same. I think we should be strong against all those top opposition like Kaduna United, Adamawa united and others.
“Virtually majority of this team have played in the premier league at one stage or the other. And so, for a team like Supreme court who have never played in premier league is a tough mountain to climb but I think with the kind of high spirit in camp and preparation we should be able to overcome them all.
