The management of FC IfeanyiUbah has sacked the entire technical crew of the club two days after the Anambra Warriors lost their unbeaten home record 1-0 to Wikki Tourists in a Week 14 tie played in Oba on Sunday.

A top official of the club told Goal that Bulgarian Mitko Dobrev and his two assistants, Willie Udube and Isaac Paha, have been shown the exit door while John Obuh has been appointed as new coach.

Ambitious FC IfeanyiUbah, bankrolled by the oil and gas magnate, Ifeanyi Ubah, have hit the league by storm after the new owner pumped cash into the club in order to compete with the very best in Nigeria.

The source told Goal that the management decided to axe the Bulgarian and his assistants because the club does not want their target of qualifying for the continent to elude them at the end of the season.

FC IfeanyiUbah have a tough road trip to execute against Heartland in Port Harcourt on Wednesday and Obuh, who had his contract not renewed with Enugu Rangers at the end of last season, will have a mountain to climb to convince the Anambra Warriors’ management and the owner.

Under Dobrev, FC IfeanyiUbah secured two away draws and a win and won all but one of their home matches.

They are currently fifth on the log with 23 points from 14 matches ahead of the tie with the Naze Millionaires in Port Harcourt at the Liberation Stadium on Wednesday.
