President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday sacked the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, NIPC, Mrs. Saratu Altine Umar.
While no reason was given for her sack, the President through a statement signed by his spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, approved the Mrs. Uju Hassan-Baba as Umar’s replacement.
The new appointee had served as Director-General, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Anambra State and Director, Legal Services, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Umar was appointed NIPC boss in May 2014 to replace Engr Mustapha Bello who held the position for several years.
