On the 29th of July, 2013, a series of loud explosions rocked Nigeria’s second largest city of Kano. Residents said that they heard at least four blasts in the SabonGari neighbourhood, which has been previously targeted by Boko Haram Islamists.
A fruit vendor, Chinyere Madu said that there was confusion all over the place when the four huge explosions exploded, so huge that they shook the whole area. Another resident, Kola Oyebanji said that all his windows were shattered,” after the four successive blasts. It was reported that more than 28 people died in the attack.
