From Bashir Bello, Kaduna
All Progressives Congress, APC,–led government has no positive agenda that will touch the life of ordinary people in Kaduna state, hence it is putting the people in bondage with inhuman policies.
This was contained in communiqué issued by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the end of a meeting held in Kaduna.
According to the communiqué signed by Muhammed  Rabiu Bako, nonpayment of workers’ salaries; retrenchment of workers, nonpayment of contractors and the demolition of people’s houses has now become the order of the day in the state since the APC took over the government.
“As the people of Kaduna now know, we can conclusively say that the APC has no positive agenda whatsoever for the betterment of lives of the ordinary peoples. Instead of improving on the standard of living of the ordinary people, it seems to be bent on returning the state to the dark days of military dictatorship with its inhuman policies” it stated.
It stated that there was no clear programme by the APC government for economic, social, educational and infrastructural advancement of Kaduna State.
The PDP Stakeholders debunked the claim by the Kaduna state government that it discovered N24 billion missing from the state treasury, describing the act as propaganda aimed at giving the previous administration a bad name.
It appreciated the people of Kaduna State for supporting the party for 16 years.“Our tradition rulers and elders were well taken care of under the PDP.
Over the last 16 years, citizens of Kaduna State experienced growth in wealth and were comfortable with life. So with these present administration of the government of the day, it is clear that democracy and more importantly the good people of Kaduna State are in a serious dilemma,” it noted.
It challenged the APC government and the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasiru El-rufai to answer question relating to its campaign promises which it has failed to deliver.
“His Excellency Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai was nominated to travel with President Muhammadu Buhari to the US.
Why was he not on the trip?
“He promised to enroll  his children into public schools, he promised free education for primary and secondary schools as well as free uniforms and book, has he fulfilled them?, ” it queried.
The communiqué added that it is on record that the previous administration never charged any fees in public schools.
