Kaduna State deputy governor, Ambassador Nuhu Audu Bajoga at the weekend presided over a meeting of the transition committee of the state which has three weeks within which to submit its report.
A statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, James Swam and made available to newsmen in Kaduna yesterday, said the committee is to interface with the governor’s elect Transition Committee for a brilliant and smooth transition in the state.
According to the statement, “The committee’s terms of reference include: To receive briefs and coordinate the compilation of handing- over notes from all Ministries, Parastatals and Extra-Ministerial Departments in the states not later than Monday.
“To articulate a comprehensive handing-over notes to the in-coming administration. To organise a successful handing-over/swearing-in ceremony on May 29, 2015.
“To proffer any other recommendation(s) that would ensure smooth transition. The Committee is also expected to interface with the governor’s elect Transition Committee for a brilliant and smooth transition in the state.
“Other members of the Committee include the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Commissioner for Works and Housing, Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs, Permanent Secretary, Special Services and Cabinet, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands, Survey and Country Planning, Accountant General and the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs who serves as Secretary of the Committee,” the statement however reads.
