NIGERIA Police, Enugu State Command, in its renewed massive onslaught against crime and criminality in the state has nabbed suspected/ notorious kingpins that have been terrorising  Nsukka and its environs as well as those terrorising members of the public along Ugwuogo/Opi/ Nsukka Road. The daredevil kidnappers, according to police public relations unit, were arrested by the operatives of the Anti Kidnapping Unit of the Enugu State Police Command from their various hideouts following intelligence information. It was gathered that suspects identified as Friday Nwafor and Nweke Lebechi, members of kidnap syndicate operating with AK47 Riffle within Nsukka and its environs, were on November 20, 2016, in the early hours caught at their hideout by the Anti Kidnapping squad with their Ak 47 Riffle at a place identified as ONE MAN VILLAGE, KWAKWA Abuja after a serious gun duel, while one Umar Garba and Adamu Ibrahim earlier on November
5, 2016 and November 6, 2016 in the early hours were nabbed by the operatives at their hideouts at Gariki Awkunanaw Enugu South local Government Area of Enugu State and Asaba Delta State respectively through intelligence information. Recovered from the gang is one English pump action gun. Suspects and other gang members at large have been terrorising motorists along Ugwuogo/opi/Nsukka road in Enugu. Meanwhile manhunts on the other members of the gang have been intensified.
