The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta state has blamed the death of the kidnapped Ubulu-Uku monarch on the poor security consciousness of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.
In a statement signed by the Director of Communication Otega Emerhor Campaign, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, the party condoled with the people of Ubulu Uku over the untimely and tragic death of the community’s monarch, HRM Obi Edward Akaeze.
He blamed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa over the unfortunate incident, saying “the careless attitude of the state governor in the search for the late monarch who was kidnapped” led to the death of the first class monarch.
He said the search team did a poor job and enough public enlightenment and security strategies were not adequately utilized to rescue the Obi of Ubulu Uku from the hands of his abductors.
The party expressed displeasure over alleged clumsy leadership style of Gov Okowa who for all intent and purposes is the Chief Security Officer of the state and asserted that Okowa, as the CSO of the state, should have displayed the same capacity and authority of a military troop commander who is saddled with the responsibility of issuing out strategic and decisive instructions to his men with the sole objective of winning a war.
Latimore said that it was very unfortunate that the people of Ubulu Uku and Deltans in general had to mourn a royal father whose reign ought to surpass several more decades to come.
He prayed God to grant the royal palace and the Ubulu-Uku people the fortitude to bear the demise of their monarch.
