Kogi State Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Hady Ametuo has called on the workers of the state to keep faith with the party and vote massively for change in the forthcoming governorship election.
In a press statement signed by Dr. Akwu Umar Goodman and made available to journalists in Lokoja at the weekend, the party’s state chairman said that additional four years in the hands of PDP will make the workforce paupers.
He advised the state civil servants not to take a big risk of voting for PDP again, especially as the entire northern Nigeria have rejected the party.
“Kogites cannot afford to remain with the analogue party that has failed the digital era, kogi is blessed with abundant human labour and endowed with the largest deposit of mineral resources, but yet the most backward and underdeveloped as a result of visionless and corrupt leadership in the state”, he said.
Dr. Goodman who was the Media consultant to APC Chairman in the state said “he is confident that APC knows the workers’ pain and will come up with the antidote”.
He assured that the party will feature a candidate of the people’s choice that will protect the need of the workers.
“The party will carefully select the best out of the lots jostling for Lugard house’s work; via due process of selection and according to the party’s guidelines; whereby all aspirants will be given equal treatment and level playing ground. The product shall be somebody of sound mind with proven integrity; one who will not depend on allocation to pay salary and develop the place”, the statement stressed.
He said kogi State have what it takes to pay the present workforce, and even employ more, and forget to downsize or cut down workers’ salaries.
