Kogi State Government has said that the N2.9 billion dual carriage way Otokiti-Ganaja by-pass road will soon be completed.
The state Governor, Captain Idris Wada disclosed this in Lokoja while inspecting the by-pass road which is under construction.
The governor said his administration is working very hard to ensure early completion of ongoing projects in the state to enable them provide the needed services to the people.
He noted that Work on the 16kms Otokiti-Ganaja dual carriage way bye pass began early this year, stressing that his administration embark on the project to reduce traffic congestion in the capital city,Lokoja, particularly at Ganaja-junction due to its strategic location.
He stressed further that road development is a cardinal programme of his administration in view of its socio- economic benefits.
Captain Wada told the contractor to sustain the quality and pace of the project, even as the governor commended the Ministry of Works for effective supervision.
In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Godwin Onama told the governor that work on the project is progressing steadily, adding that the project is expected to be completed in 18 months as schedule.
