A FEMALE lawyer from
Kogi State, Rabiah Ozavize
Ovosi, who was kidnapped
on Friday, July 14, has been
released by her abductors.
The legal practitioner
regained freedom on Sunday
between 4-5pm.
A family source, who
confirmed the development,
said she was abandoned
between Osara and Mack
farm along the Lokoja-Okene
The source, who craved
anonymity, refused to disclose
whether a ransom was paid.
“As I speak to you, she is
back home, hale and hearty,
and has since reunited with
her family. We give glory to
God. On the issue of ransom,
that is a family thing, we are
keeping it to our heart and we
don’t want to talk about it”,
he stressed.
A family friend of the
victim, Mr. Ben Owoleke,
wrote on his Facebook page
“Alhamdulillahi our prayers
worked Rabiah Ovosi, her
maid and Brother Hassan
have been released hale and
healthy. Thanks for your
prayers, May Allah bless
and keep us all. Ameen.”
It would be recalled that
Ovosi, who is a close relative
of the Chief Judge of the state,
Justice Nasiru Ajana, was
abducted along the Okene-
Lokoja road.
