Emmanuel Enesi Ozigi has emerged the governorship candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, in Kogi State.
He emerged during a governorship primary poll in Lokoja, the state capital.
Ozigi will contest the November 21 gubernatorial election on the platform of the party.
He was unanimously adopted as the party’s candidate after two other aspirants, Frank Onaji and Onimisi Isaac, stepped down for him.
In his acceptance speech, Ozigi said he will ensure transformation of all sectors of the economy through ‘bottom-top and participatory’ approach to governance.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the party, Simeon Ojonuba, said the PPA was out to correct all the ‘anomalies’ in Kogi and called on the electorate to vote massively for the party come November 21.
