Authority of the Nigeria Police Force has expressed its commitment towards ensuring that an intelligence and community based policing is introduced into the system in Kwara State to further enhance effective provision of security lives and property.
It added that there would also be absolute zero tolerance to corrupt practices among men and officers of the agency warning those involve to change with immediate effect or face the full wrath of the law.
The new commissioner of police in the state, CP Sam Okaula, stated this yesterday during his maiden press briefing at the Command’s Conference Room in Ilorin the Kwara State capital. He said, “I am not here to sleep; rather I am here to work.”
While rolling out his three-agenda as the new Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Okaula noted that Intelligence-led policing, community-led policing as well as Corruption-free policing constitute his recipe towards ensuring a crime-free Kwara State.
“To all criminals, let it be known to you that there is no hiding place for crimes and criminality; you are hereby advised to relocate to another. And I am very sure that my colleagues in other Commands too with not tolerate such ugly acts.
“There will not be rooms for breakdown of laws and order from any quarters. We are going to be proactive in our direction of duties as police security personnel and we shall ensure that everywhere is crime free.
“To corrupt men and officers, who refuse to change, we shall make sure we change you by all means by facing you of the system. Things are now different from the ways they were before,” CP Okaula added.
He, however, appealed to media practitioners in the state to partner with his command with harmonious working tides to further achieve the objectives of the agency stressing that all the stakeholders in the state will also be carried along in the policing jobs.
