Government at all levels have been advised to manage Nigeria’s resources prudently, so as to pave way for sustainable socio-economic stability.
The Chairman, Kwara Professionals Forum, KPF, Alhaji Mohammed Olayiwola, stated this at an interactive session with journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
He expressed concern over the rising level of abandoned projects across the country and widespread corruption, stressing the need to be more thorough in managing the available resources for efficiency.
Olayiwola also implored President Muhammadu Buhari to be firm and painstaking in his anti-corruption crusade, while efforts must be geared toward fast-tracking the judicial process to make the whole effort worth-while.
Speaking on the stance of the Senate to abolish fixed charges and estimate billing with regards to the use of electricity, Olayiwola described the step as remarkable and in the interest of the masses.
The chairman, however, advised the power distribution companies to improve their technology, so as to ascertain the exact charge to give each client and urged them to sit up in the provision of stable power supply.
Alhaji Olayiwola restated the determination of his forum to support the government with the needed expertise in driving its developmental process.
