An Igbosere Magistrate Court has arraigned a 40-year-old man, Mr. Kasssem Kolawole, on a four-count charge which include alleged conspiration with others now at large to steal the sum of N414 million property of one Alhaja Abiola O Kunthum at Igbehinadun/Mebamu Village, Okokomaiko, Lagos, sometime in 1993, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 285 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
According to the charge the accused also allegedly conspired with others now at large on the same date, time and place unlawfully and maliciously damaged property of Alhaja Kulthum valued at the sum of N414 million and thereby committee an offence punishable under Section 348 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
Other charges include forcibly entering into a land at Igbehinadun/Mebamu Village, Okokomaiko, Lagos, which are in the possession of Ibrahim Mustapha and family, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 52 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
When the charges were read to the accused yesterday, he pleaded not guilty.
The magistrate, Mr P.A. Adekomaiya therefore granted bail in the sum of N200, 000 with a surety.
Meanwhile, the residents of Okokomaiko, Ajangbadi, Kemberi, Isasi, Cele-Niger, Igbehinadun, Mebamu and Afromedia along Badagry Expressway in Lagos State expressed satisfaction with the arraignment of the accused, whom they said had been terrorising the area for a long time.
