Mother of the Lamido Adamawa, His Royal Highness Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdapher, has died at the age of 87.
A statement issued by her family said the octogenarian died in the early hours of yesterday.
Palace sources said she died after a brief illness. The deceased is survived by her only son, the Lamido of Adamawa, as well as many grand and great grand children.
She has since been buried according to Islamic rites at Hubbare Modibbo Adama located at the Lamido’s palace.
Meanwhile, the palace has witnessed a large turnout of sympathizers.
