The charming singer has emerged the new ‘Social Secretary’ of ISMAN Islamic Musician Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter.
Rukayat Gawat was announced the Lagos State ‘Social Secretary’ by the national electoral board of ISMAN at the just concluded election for Lagos State Chapter which held on July 30, 2015 at Isolo area of Lagos.
The election also had Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Abideen re-emerging the Governor for another tenure while popular singer, Alhaja Aminat Babalola-Balogun widely known as ‘Omotayebi’ emerged the new ‘Amira’-leader of the women affairs – of the ISMAN; Lagos State chapter.
Rukayat Gawat carved a niche for herself in the Islamic music terrain; as one of the wave-making Islamic musicians rocking the scene.
The Mass-Communication graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State took over music the scene with a hit single entitled ‘Ogbe-Okan.’
