Chief Medical Director, CMD of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, LAUTECH, Osogbo, Osun, Prof. Olufemi Fadiora, has reiterated the total commitment of the hospital towards rendering more quality services to the society and the entire country with a view to reducing medical tourism of Nigerians to other lands.
Prof Fadiora gave this assurance in Osogbo, the state capital, while receiving a number of Awards of Excellence conferred on him and the hospital by a publishing company, Baseline Global Ventures.
The CMD at the event commended the state governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, for the unquantifiable support his administration has given the hospital in recent years, describing it as, “a support that has transformed the hospital in all ramifications.”
According to Prof Fadiora, “a number of hi-tech equipment have been acquired in the last few years which now gives the hospital a competitive edge.”
The CMD further appreciated the organizers of the awards for rating LAUTECH as the best teaching hospital for its quality services to the society promising that the hospital will continue in its corporate mandates.
Earlier in his address, the Chief Executive of the media organisation, which presented the award, Prince Joshua Ola Adeleke, described Prof Fadiora as a role model, an epitome of hard work, a professional of no mean repute and an agent of change.
“I also want to commend the initiative of modeling the teaching hospital to the standard of a world class institution through the pragmatic leadership style of Prof Fadiora”, he added.
Responding on behalf of the hospital management, the Director of Administration, Mr. Anthony Fabule, thanked Baseline Global Ventures and assured the general public that the hospital will continue to pursue its mandate of research, training and medical care to optimal level.
