The Honourable member representing Mubi South in the Adamawa state House of Assembly Ali. Abdulrahaman Abubakar, has lauded the state Government effort for approving the award of 14 road projects in Mubi town and its environs.
Hon. Abubakar in a statement issued out to press men in Yola said the road projects was timely as the town struggle to recover from destructions caused by insurgents who occupied it for some time.
“The development is a welcome relief to the people of my constituency who are struggling to pick up their normal live in the commercial town where life has return to normal after the dislodgment of Boko Haram insurgents.
“I must commend Governor Bindow Jibrilla for this timely gesture which would further open up Mubi to assume its position as a commercial nerve centre and the second largest town in Adamawa state.
“In fact, Mubi International Cattle Market is at present the largest in the North East Sub region. So, whatever project is done by government to transforme Mubi is purely based on merit” Abdulrahman said.
The lawmaker who is the House Committee chairman on Appropriation, Budget and Finance said the APC led House under the able leadership of Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa, would continue to provide the needed support to the executive in its effort to deliver dividends of democracy to the electorates in line with the party manifesto.
Abubakar who is also the chairman of members of Integrity Forum in the House urged for sustain support and cooperation of the people to government at all levels for the positive changes which he said that has started manifesting in spite of financial crunch inherited by the government.
“ Within the first 100 days of APC at the national and state levels, change has manifested in the areas of steady fuel and electricity supply, improvement in security and the fight against corruption as well as execution of people oriented projects”, Abdulrahman Abubakar said.
