The 89-law class of University of Lagos, Akoka, has tasked the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to use special skills, which God endowed him with to impact positively youth empowerment, judiciary, police and power sector reforms.
The 89 class of UNILAG, who were his former students made the charge while congratulating the Vice President on his victory at the recently held presidential election.
The students in a congratulatory letter signed by the trio of Barrister Silas Udoh, Barrister Funmi Uju and Barrister Ambrose Nwabueze, attributed Prof. Osinbajo’s emergence as the country’s Vice President, to his contribution to nation building both in private and public sector.
Parts of the letter which was made available to our correspondent on Tuesday, reads, “Your contributions to nation building both in private and public sectors have remained giant indelible landmarks recognised by Nigerians, and which they have rewarded by voting massively for Your Excellence in the last elections to usher in the APC led-government in Nigeria.
“With the giant strides and bold footprint you left in the Lagos State Judiciary in your time as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, we are indeed supremely confident that our quintessential lecturer has the where withal to hoist the flag of positive change and meet the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.”
They also promised Professor Osinbajo of their unwavering and unflinching support, and wished him a successful tenure in office.
