Former Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi has officially commenced a legal war against the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF following the way and manner he was eased out from the senior national team’s job.
Nigeria Saturday Pilot sports gathered that NFF is in receipt of summons from Keshi’s lawyers informing the Glass house that they have cases to answer at Court of Arbitration for Sports.
According to Nigerian Saturday Pilot Sports source at the football house, the former coach is challenging the abrupt termination of his two-year contract which he argues was done in bad fate.
It was understood that the former captain of the Super Eagles seeking damages for what he described as falsehood reasons adduced by NFF for sacking him even as he said that the football house cooked up thing in a bid to soil his name and as well as terminate his contract.
Nigerian Saturday Pilot sports gathered that the Delta State born football tactician who won the African Cup of Nations as a player and coach is demanding full financial compensation for the damages caused him.
Source at the NFF said, “It is true that Keshi has gone to CAS. The letter from his lawyer has been received at the NFF and we are already working on our response.’’
Meanwhile the former Super Eagles gaffer is accusing the glass house lying about his application for the job with Cote d’ Ivoire Football Federation and his name that he alleged to have been maligned in view of his sack.
It could be recalled that coach Stephen Keshi’s assistant, Silvernus Okpala dragged to CAS terminating his appointment wrongly and the former Super Eagles player won the case and was awarded huge financial benefit which NFF have been paying in installments.
