NATIONAL Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Lokoja Local Government chapter, has denied the rumour that youths attacked Governor Yahaya Bello during jumat prayers. President of the council, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, in a statement signed by the Director of Media and Publicity,
Yabagi Mohammed, and made available to journalists in Lokoja, yesterday, said the attack was by miscreants and not youths from Lokoja who are well cultured. He said Lokoja youths are highly enlightened and understand that the present economic hardship in the state and nation is a phase that would cease with time.
Adamu said no true son or daughter of Lokoja would want to harm the governor in any way, saying they have no reason to do that in view of his antecedents since he assumed office on January 27. He hinted that the governor stood behind the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Umar Ahmed Imam, during the jumat prayers.
