A retired Major General and onetime Senator representing Kebbi south in the 7 Senate, Senator Muhammadu Magoro, has called on Nigerian to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s on-going war against corruption.
Magoro who gave the charge during a chat with journalists in Abuja, added that the administration needs to be commended for the courage to beam the searchlight that have been thrown up in unraveling the several billions of naira of tax payers’ money.
Besides, he also pointed out that it was wrong to condemn the fight against corruption because every effort should be made to ensure that stolen funds are returned.
While commending Buhari for the 2016 budget, he however urged the National Assembly to quickly pass the budget so that development could spread to the grassroot. He said the Buhari administration needs the cooperation of everyone so that the country can move forward.
Senator Magoro said fight against financial crime cannot be worn within months and urged for patience from all as the end result would be for the betterment of the country.
